Circle hooks will imrpove hook up rates once you get used to using them. You will also find that all fish are hooked in the scissors. We have found that for flatfish, Whiting, Cod etc they do improve catch rates but for fish like conger we have found them to be not as good as conventional hooks. They also greatly increase the chances of undersized fish surviving when returns as the number of deep hook ups is greatly reduced. Use a baiting needle to bait up with worm and with a little practice is is as easy as baiting a conventional hook.
